Holly Szumila-Vance

Holly is an Assistant Professor at FIU. She received her undergraduate degrees in space physics and aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and her PhD in physics from Old Dominion University. She held postdocs at Jefferson Lab and MIT/GWU before joining Jefferson Lab as a Staff Scientist in 2020. She recently transitioned to a faculty member appointment at FIU in 2024. She received the Guido Altarelli Award for her work in experimental physics (2024) this year.
